I am excited and honored to be part of the growing DVPT team. I look forward to working with my new colleagues and learning from each other.

 

Originally from Minnesota, I graduated from the University of St. Catherine in 1989, married in 1992, moved to Iowa in 1994 and stayed there until moving to Arizona in 2016. We have 2 adult sons who live in Iowa and Phoenix. My 34 years of pediatric experience has included working in various clinical settings (rehabilitation, outpatient, and specialty childcares for drug exposed young children); public schools and early intervention (Iowa and AZEIP). I received my Master of Science in Early Childhood Special Education, from Iowa State in 1999.

 

I love spending time with my family and our cat, Joey; and hiking anywhere in Arizona, nature, singing in choir, watching science fiction shows, and creating mixed media arts and collage. I volunteer at PetSmart for a nonprofit organization that promotes adoption and shelter for homeless cats.
