Staff Bio
Robin, Occupational Therapist, OT Team Lead, and Outreach Director
Robin is a Lead Occupational Therapist and our Outreach Director. She is certified in DIR Floortime Therapy, providing a child-led, relationship based, developmental play therapy approach that is informed by sensory processing. She has received additional training in sensory processing, Social Thinking, DIR Floortime, ASD, trauma, and assistive technology. She is always looking for new opportunities to learn and implement evidenced based practice into her sessions with clients.
As Outreach Director, Robin spends time mentoring therapists across disciplines on sensory strategies, understanding behavior, and increasing engagement in therapy sessions. She also created our Desert Valley Village parent support groups and educational workshops. Do not hesitate to reach out to her for resources and support!
Robin graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science in Physiology. She attended A.T. Still University in Mesa to obtain her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy degree in 2018. She is a mom of two daughters and has called Arizona home for 25 years. She loves any opportunity to get creative, get outside, hear live music, and spend time with her friends and family.
Robin has been working with families and children since 2013 through various experiences as a volunteer, student resident, and as an administrator for a special education school. She is passionate about providing family centered services to encourage maximal growth of each child and to foster empowerment of families for advocacy. She feels incredibly lucky to be working as an occupational therapist to help children and families reach their personal goals.
